Looking for a sign.
For a color.
For a shape...or a line.
On this first day of this new month.
I return.
With one slow breath.
I begin again.

Looking for a sign.
For a color.
For a shape...or a line.
On this first day of this new month.
I return.
With one slow breath.
I begin again.
After all that snow - it rained.
What was soft winter white...has melted into a murky grey.
What was so full...now feels empty.
How am I going to find some thing - a one thing - of beauty?
I was reminded of one of my favorite childhood games.
I spy. I decided to play it with myself. What might I find if I may?
I spy something that is green.
You'd laugh - eh? At the possibility? In this place...in this season...at this time of year?
Where might I ever find anything green?
But then. And there.
Some days it's all about setting a focus and intention.
After all that snow - it rained and rained and rained some more.
It's really such a wonderful life.
Its simplicity. Its ease. Its comfort.
Around me - the colors are changing. Every time I stop to listen - I hear a different hue.
It's beautiful.
It stops me in my tracks. It takes my breath away.
And then....and then...and then.
There's this.
Eggs freshly laid. A sweet kitty who stands guard.
Barns that are older than I - faded...and rusty...and weathered.
It truly is.
Such a wonderful life.
A gift to all those who are lucky enough to stop...to taste....to see.
An unimagined gift....to me.
