Her Sheep's Coat

March 12, 2017 Marcie Scudder

I over-analyze....over-complicate...over-think.
I question what beauty today might bring.

Someone was teasing us with early spring.
We've now returned to winter.

Her gaze is soft and steady....strong and sure.
Cozy in her brown sheep's coat.
The record-breaking cold isn't bothering her.

I smile.
She smiles back.
I shiver.
She nods...acknowledging.

I've found what I came looking for.
Simple. Easy.
Remind me again.
What was I questioning?
