In the morning fog and mist - I couldn't quite see beyond.
A hint - perhaps - of what's to come. And - nothing.
Empty space. A blank canvas. A palette of vast possibility.
The last of these summer flowers - lining my path.
Guiding my way. Leading me from one season's official end into another's beginning.
I - almost - missed them. I - almost - wasn't looking.
These are the end of them. Aren't they?
Change. It's good. It's bad. It's constant.
I want to see. I want to know. And - I don't. What lurks and lies beyond.
Today - there is.
One last parade of summer's flowers.
Nodding their heads...and waving their arms...and cheering me on.
The winds blow. The earth's gravitational forces ground.
