In the grand view - she gets herself lost. A one wee small bird in a vast landscape. One sweet song in and among a chorus of loud songsters.
She makes it look so effortless and easy. Perching herself there while maintaining her equilibrium and balance. I find myself wishing to learn from her ability to find the quiet and still. Even if only for one fleeting moment.
So many things to capture my attention. So many bigger and better and - perhaps - more exciting distractions.
And yet - my eyes rested - on this. On this one singular red robin. Today she appeared to teach me a lesson. Tomorrow - she'll be gone.
