My fingers and frozen toes reminded me.
It's cold out there. It's downright frigid.
I looked forward to the warmth of the indoors. A cup of steaming cocoa. A fireplace burning bright. A blanket to wrap myself up in.
I wondered about the deer and how they were surviving. I wondered about the cows and how they were faring. I wondered about my sweet pup - and how she was doing on a day like today.
I couldn't help but notice the absence of birds. Where have they gone to? I wish I knew. I always conclude - I know nothing.
The ground wasn't moving. The air was still. The landscape lay frozen and vast and without a speck of color.
I wondered about winter and this season that I so profess to so love.
As I was walking and wondering and questioning all that I know...and more that I don't- this stopped me. Two small red dots on a winter canvas. They gave mejust enough of a reason to pause and take notice.
And - what a sight it was.
To be seen.
