So many times - I've been here before.
The morning light is just right. The last of the season's colors are still bright. The birds and ducks and geese are up to their usual tricks and predictable rituals.
It gets quiet. They align themselves in their own perfect formation. Their heads bob up and down. They communicate in their own non-verbal silent language.
And just like that - they're off and running. One minute- peacefully gliding in the water. The next - their wings have spread. They're preparing themselves for flight.
It's not about luck. It's not about serendipity. It's about returning again and again and stopping to see and hear and feel. It's about studying the tiniest of clues and unseen nuances. It's about noticing.
It's really nothing other than the art of consistent practice.
