She wore her bright red wellingtons to remind her of sun on the days when it chose not to shine. They kept her feet warm..they kept her feet dry...they made her happy.
She thought..and she thought..and she concluded -
If she could simply fill these big boots with bright happy flowers..there would be no more rain..because - of course - she'd have nothing to wear if it did.
And so it was and how it came to be. The summer that laughed and giggled and smiled playfully. There were no tears to shed.
