Leading the way were the dancing girls. Dressed in sparkly seqins and colorful bows with twirling batons in their hands.
Following - in close second - came the clowns...dancing and prancing and joking around.
Then - were the floats. Each more beautifully adorned and decorated than the next. People - smiling and waving happily at the crowd as they passed.
Last..but not least - the marching band. Trombones..trumpets..fifes and drums. Walking in perfect sync. Straight and strong and proud.
The children squealed in delight. The crowd cheered and laughed. All in good humor and such fun.
It was going to take more than a little rain to stop this parade.
A perfect day!
