Do you ever wonder how he did it? How he found the near-perfect balance between the grid of black and white and the blocks of primary color?
Of course - he had the advantage of beginning with a blank canvas..and the gift of arranging....and creating with paint. He could play and experiment. He could try one thing and then another..until he felt it work.
My canvas is the world around me. My brush - my camera lens. The elements are as they are. It's up to me and my eye to find that harmonious composition....that correct arrangement..that balance that is never quite what I wished it was.
Inspired by the art of Piet Mondrian - I couldn't pass this by.
